Belonging: Meet Autumn Blamoville

Meet Autumn Blamoville, Senior Associate, Clinical Operations and native of Long Island, NY. Autumn has an undergrad from Duke and recently finished her Master of Science at Drexel. She has a background in community health research and engagement with older adults and underserved communities.

When she's not working with Belong's vulnerable populations, she loves music, dancing, and travel, and finds Trader Joe’s to be the best place to relax.

What led you to this career or to Belong?

Since I was a little kid, I have always enjoyed helping others, and I have always loved to be around older people. Since middle school I volunteered at the same senior citizen center, and I loved going there every Tuesday and Thursday. It was truly always the highlight of my week.

What kinds of activities energize you?

Going to a concert or a music festival is one of my all-time favorite things to do. Hearing music live from a new or favorite artist gives me to much energy. I have been dancing and singing since I was 4 years old. Going to my old dance studio and taking class or just singing in my room makes me super happy. Spending time with those I love, even if it’s just relaxing, is also something I love. I really enjoy quality time with those around me! Finally, taking a good run to Trader Joe’s and grabbing some of the new items I must try. There’s something so relaxing for me about going to Trader Joe’s and grocery shopping.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with family, friends, and my dog, Laila. Whether that is going to the city to see a show, trying out a new restaurant, going to a food festival, or taking a drive or a walk. I will always go to a seafood restaurant and being on Long Island, there’s plenty of options for a great lobster roll. I enjoy trying out new things, so any offer to go somewhere different, I’ll do it!

My family loves to travel and that’s something I’ve continued to do since I graduated college. I visited Madrid and Cartagena in Spain in February, and that has been my favorite country to visit thus far. My mom and I are going to Paris this fall for my birthday and it will be my first time visiting France.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Three words my friends would use to describe me are bubbly, outgoing, and inquisitive.
